Cute! I've never heard of 'octothorpe' before; where's it from? I like
'pound'. I hate 'curly-braket'; 'brace' is much better. 'Vertical-bar'
should of course be 'pipe'. Where does 'waka' come from?

I've seen 'splat' before, but I have to side with 'star'.
