o Sun will make key Java software development technologies --
including Java Workshop 2.0., JavaStudio 1.0; Java WebServer 1.1;
JavaPureCheck, JavaStar, JavaSpec and JavaScope -- available at no cost
to the academic community for teaching and research purposes.

o As many as 560,000 educational institutions -- including
universities, colleges, high schools and primary schools -- around the
world are eligible for this program, whose value could run into the
billions of dollars.

o This move will help to ensure that educational institutions will have
the latest Java development tools for their students.

o Authorized educational institutions can download the free software
from a special Sun website, www.sun.com/edu/java/free.
