This is possibly the only fully pro-Microsoft article you'll see for
the rest of the millennium.

Plus points: more open than other industrial labs. More freedom.
Minus points: no grad students to do your work for you.

Still no tenure, though.

wondering if the Microsoft policy is simply to hire every functional
mind on the planet to create a monopoly of thought.
