Right before I moved to portlnd form NYC in 1997 I was approached by a
freind to go work for Netscape. He figured as long I was moving out west,
why not land a job with one of the majors. I passed. The reasons why were
pretty much the same ones JZ gave in his resignation letter.

"Netscape has been a great disappointment to me for quite some time,"
Zawinski wrote. "... What we did from 1996 through 1999 was coast along,
riding the wave caused by what we did before."

SHOW ME DA MONEY..in terms of a company likethat it was all about
innovation and staying ahead of the game..

Also, i said it in 95 and ill say it again..who the fuck is gonan pay for
a browser??? What a conectp to build a company on.

It was truly hillarious to see the folks who normaly rally round the
"big crops who cahrge suck" crowd shows some of thier hipocracy when NS
was charging for its browser as a biz model, and how MS;s was always a
freebe.

They chocked on that like Traci Lords first hummer.

Oh well, history has proven yet again, Tommywhore is in the slot.
