Well, it doesn't support *Intel* 64-bit systems yet. Becaause there
aren't any. :)

Linux has supported 64-bit Alphas for years, and was the first 64-bit
Unix for the UltraSparc.

Intel has pledged to get 64-bit Linux working on Merced before it goes
out the door. There are rumored to be people working on this already
(Red Hat?) but nothing has been said for sure.
