Wether its MS or Red HAt or Sun OR Apple, The bigger a comapny gets the
less in touch they become to the bone of contention. Thus it is that every
once in a while little fry upstarts makea bums rush on the sceen in small
ways.

Did html come from a biz? Mp3 may have started froma biz but the
groundswell was from everywhere BUT. Linux, in its heyday (now over) had
this same effect.

What is the critical mass of an idea before it looses its center, falls
apart or becomes just another breeding ground for divisonists and status
quoitions.

Linux has certianly shown us this clearly. The start was amazing,
installing .9x kernels every week and waiting fro your driver sets to get
included or hacking up one...Then came the great gathering, teh minds
began to vibrat in some sort of harmonious tones...time, power,
consolidation, marketshare...and now....dischord in a manner most foul.

Hippies, man i live in portland, i dont want to get into what breed of
facists hippes are. Their power base is so far left its right and so god
damn restrictive its as ignoratn and blind as the xian house faru PMRC
folks they mock.

Large organizations, with few expeptions, are the defiler of creativity
and the destoryer of good intentions.

Uncle Hagbard, where are you when we need you.
