Shoutcast is soliciting blue G3 hardware for the purpose of developing
a version of its WinAmp audio server for Mac OS X Server and a "minimal
listening client for the Mac OS," but Kai Cherry writes:

"It isn't an issue, as the GLP'd Icecast system, a free software clone
(with more features) of ShoutCast compiles out of the box on MacOS X
Server, and works quite well. The source is also included (in ph3) for
setting up an Apache-based Directory server as well. LiveIce, the live
encoding component, does not for some reason compile on OS X Server; it
seems to be linux-centric."
