Heh, this is the funny part. We'd just moved to a new town, and my
sister and I wanted to go cruising around to see if we could find The
Party (tm). The car was lime green and primer, and we
were teenagers, and wellll, we were ashamed to be seen in the ugly car, so
we had some dark blue spray paint in the house, and decided to paint it
that color, after we sanded off some of the rust. So we sanded and
sanded, by hand, and finally just got tired of it and painted it with the
spray paint (5 or 6 cans, I believe). We were in a small town, so our
street became a cruising strip that week, with guys yelling out their
windows at us, etc. (: Anyhow, we finished up, went in, showered and
passed out, looking forward to cruising around in the much improved car
the next night. It rained that night. We woke up to a lime green Pinto
and a dark blue driveway. Heh! So I went to an auto store and looked
around and found...AHA! engine paint! That shit won't come off ever! So
we got about 10 cans of that and repainted it, all the while giggling at
the line of cars that were passing by the house. Girls! Painting a car!
Oh my! Anyhow, we'd taped off the chrome and windows and such, and when
we were done, it didn't look half bad. We were burnt to a crisp, but
decided to go riding around. We got stopped at every corner and store,
and complimented on our work. They still couldn't believe that GIRLS had
done such a good job painting a car. Anyhow, it was fun and funny, and we
made a lot of friends to get high with. (:
