Apparently, the "evil internet" theme still hasn't played out. On the
plus side, this sounds like it'll be worse than "Hackers" or "The Net",
so maybe no one will see it.

Rocker Re-emerges In Gruesome Thriller

HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - Heavy metal rocker Dee Snider, who made it big in
the 80s as frontman of Twisted Sister, has resurfaced as a screenwriter
and actor.

His "Rune," a gruesome thriller, is set to start shooting next week on
location in Colorado Springs. The $2 million project is being produced
by Shooting Gallery, the
independent company that made "Sling Blade."

The cast of "Rune" is headed by Kevin Gage, who co-stars in the new
release "G.I. Jane." He plays a rural policeman whose daughter is
kidnapped by a sadistic
serial killer (Snider) who uses the Internet to lure young girls.

Elizabeth Pena and Brett Harrelson also star. It's the first feature for
director John Pieplow, who is known for his work helming commercials and
theater.
