the Eiffel Tower has for Paris and Big Ben for London."

Oddly enough, IIRC, for at least some period of time during the 1920's
and '30s, the Eiffel Tower (originally built as a publicity gimmick
for a fin-de-siecle World's Fair) sported a colossal array of electric
lights arranged to spell out "Citroen".
