Ah, well, that's an interesting story. And whenever I say that, it's a safe
bet that there's an anagram involved. Lloyd had subscribed to Glen McCready's
0xdeadbeef list, right about the point I ran across the poor git's webpage. I
don't even recall what I was looking for, but that doesn't matter. Just as
Lloyd was making his first contribution to 0xdeadbeef (or at least the first
one that Glen passed through to the list), I was running Lloyd's name past Anna
Graham, and she said "Lowly dodo". I pointed out that remarkable factoid to
Lloyd, who thought it was a critical comment in reply to his posting. In the
intervening year or two, Lloyd and I have shared many happy words over concrete
roofing, George Clinton, and Digital marketing.

(Feel free to FoRK this. I have no objections, though Lloyd may. ;-)
