I don't have any counter-examples. I do remember reading somewhere that
stated that Microsoft was a company that Excelled (pardon the pun!) at
implementation. Here's an example: Microsoft beat Lotus 1-2-3 and
WordPerfect by undercutting Office suites on price and bundling. Aided by
their OS monopoly. Netscape would be a company that excelled at innovation.
Does anyone know an Internet pointer to the above article?

In the commercial world, it's easy to introduct a new product to an existing
market, or introduce an existing product to a new market, but introducing a
