I was amused 2 or 3 days days ago to hear an advertisement on the
radio for GSM mobile phones that encrypt communications with similar
phones "to prevent industrial espionage by the Echelon network". This
was on ordinary day-time radio for the consumption of the man-in-the-street.
If this is happening within weeks of heavy-handed crypto regulations
being eradicated, then maybe there's hope yet (at least in Europe).
