Stumbled across the site, http://www.topozone.com/ today, a site that offers
free online topographic maps. For example, follow this link to get a map of
FoRK central, U.C. Irvine:

http://www.topozone.com/map.asp?lat=33.6461&lon=-117.8419

They're hoping to support the service with advertising. It'll be
interesting to see what effect this service will have on existing retailers
of topographic map software, such as Topo!
(http://www.topo.com/explore_topo/index.html), and DeLorme's TopoUSA
(http://www.delorme.com/topousa/). The site also raises the question, since
topo maps are a very standardized type of information, are they destined to
become commodities?
