Apache httpd has been selected for the 1999 ACM Software System Award
(like the Turing award, but for projects instead of individuals). You can
see the list of past recipients at <http://www.acm.org/awards/ssaward.html>.
The prize is $10,000, which will go to the Apache Software Foundation.
It is an honor to everyone involved, but especially to Robert Thau given
the influence that the Apache architecture has had on its robustness,
flexibility, and wide-spread adoption.

Cheers,

....Roy
