Story question. Both are forceful in slamming the media and its echo
effects, and yet are quite unsatisfying for the simple reason that
neither directly quotes the principals. What did Gore (or Erich Segal)
actually say? Where's the beef?

And as for poor BJ Clinton's administration being under attack, well boo
hoo. I happen to like gridlock more often than not. The economy is
doing so well precisely because he was unable to undo the good one he'd
inherited. He started out with a majority in the House but went so far
with HillaryCare that even the Dems couldn't swallow it, and Newt looked
better than Tip. Game, set, match. The impeachment was self-inflicted
sideshow.
