I blew a day on squeak as well. Wiki and their HTTP client don't support
1.1. Did you find a way to compile a squeak program so it was self
contained? I was thinking of writing some software for squeak but as far
as I could tell this would mean that anyone wanting to use the program
would have to download squeak. Java got around this by making itself
available just about everywhere.

I got to say though, squeak was pretty cool.
