Dan, I bought a Sony Vaio 505FX to replace my dead Pilot, and overweight
Compaq notebook, and a Rex. Overall review: Great $2200 machine. I just
leave it in sleep mode so it fires up in 10 seconds or so. Keyboard is a bit
tight for long term use, but otherwise, it is an extremely nice, 3 pound
PDA/ Computer, with a 10" screen (800x600), 64MB ram, 4 GB hard drive, 1
PCMCIA, 1 USB and 1 FireWire port and 2 + hours batteryt life on the small
battery and 4.5 hours on the big battery.

I find I use it between home and the office as a portable hard drive, for
meetings and on the road. It is a nice compromise between too many devides
(Pilot, Notebook, Rex, ...) and not enough power.

I tried a scad of devices (Psion, WinCE machines ala the LG Phenom, Cross
Pad, ...) but sellted on the single machine model to have all of my data in
one place at one time.

Philip
