I used to be a faithful reader of comp.arch until 1992 or so when it just
seemed to degenerate into utter crap (to borrow a phrase). Imagine my
surprise this morning when I subscribe to it in the first time in 6 or 7
years to find (1) lots of FoRK members on it, and (2) a respectable S/N
ratio.
What the hell happened?
Did I fall through to an alternate universe?

PS. The only reason I decided to start reading USENET again at all was to
join comp.os.cpm and alt.sys.pdp*.
