Someone named Ed Tsigal around 6:39 PM -0700 on 7/9/97, cleverly crafted this:

Excuse the CC: but I'm to tired to state this twice.

This is very simple.

1) Apple has yet another losing quarter. The board had to do something,
period. Hancock was out when she said to Steve Jobs, Solaris was a better
OS then NeXTStep.

2) Apple has to build Intel boxes. There is no doubt about it. Only Steve
Jobs or someone else of his bravado and chrisma can convince the
Mac/Motorola fanatics inside and outside of Apple that this is a reality.

Ok?

Nobody really cared if Apple tanked it,
but now if Apple tanks it, it also tanks NeXT,
and we're going to do everything in our power
to make sure that doesn't happen. ... anonymous NeXT employee
