info on team ascending 6000 foot sheer face?

I was listening to NPR this morning and heard a piece about a team of
Americans attempting to climb some 6000 foot sheer face somewhere. I
caught just enough to be intrigued, but not enough to be satisfied. :-)
They mentioned a web site, but I couldn't understand what they said.
Anybody got any ideas? NPR's site didn't have anything, and a web seach
came up fruitless.
