While I am not a big fan of the military-industrial complex, one of the
more impressive things I've seen in recent memory is the Boeing factory
itself. The largest building on this earth at 96 acres...and counting.
Four assembly lines where an army of 100,000 workers can build planes 24 hours
a day as if they were new minivans going down the assembly line. We had to
take a bus just to get around the outside of the building to the spot where
you walk in. The fleet of 3 wheeled bicycles that the managers use to get
around could easily supply a small retirement village. The building is so
large that it is physically impossible to heat or air-condition. Need I go
on....the place is big, big, big. I was impressed. Go see it if you're into
that sort of thing.
