This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. This
ranks right up there with the French trying to control
the language of the content of their servers.

What is wrong with these stupid French speaking countries??
Not only do you have to apply for a Web site, you
have to display the license certificate and
register the name and URL of the site and provide
a historical record of development with all
the people involved.

The deadline to apply for a license to operate a
Canadian Web site is March 31, 1999. You should
not wait until the last minute.

seront octroys par la Regie de l'Internet du Canada (RIC).

This has got to be a joke.
