24 June Computergram:

+ Extra XML From Oracle

Oracle Corp has added XML parsers for C and C++, enabling
developers to access data from programs written in these
languages and stored in Oracle 8 databases for use in other
applications. The components run on the Oracle Application
Server. Oracle already offers XML interfaces to Java and its
proprietary PL/SQL connection. New also are XML SQL utilities
and XSQL servlet needed to read and write XML data to and from
Oracle database. A new 2.0 version of the Java XML parser
supports the ability to convert XML data to other formats
including HTML and extract and save Oracle 8 data in one
process. The XML work is free to download.
