And I am officially in love with the winner of the 1999 Discover Award for
Assistive Technologies, Phillip Kennedy. He's a hunk a' hotty. :-)

oh, yeah, he also invented something that allows paralyzed people to move a
cursor across a screen with a neurotrophic electrode - a hollow glass cone
filled with recording wires and chemicals which promote nerve growth. The
electrode is placed in the motor cortex of the brain and hooked to a computer.
