Does anybody have a copy of PC Welt? I want to know what the 60 tips
are, especially the 5 censored ones...

Reuters, 4:26pm 6.Mar.98.PST
MUNICH - Microsoft said today that it has filed charges with the local
district attorney claiming that a German computer magazine published by
IDG incites readers to commit piracy against the software giant.
Microsoft Deutschland claims that the March issue of PC Welt includes
details on how use its products illegally. The company said the magazine
has been cautioned and told to recall the March issue, and has tried in
vain to get editors to issue a distancing statement in their next issue.

PC Welt rejected the accusations that it had incited its readers to
commit software piracy.

IDG said it would abstain "on a voluntary basis" from the further
publication of five of the 60 published tips on how to illegally bypass
the protective mechanism of the Windows operating system.

Editor-in-chief Michael Klein said some of the content of the magazine
had been "very cheeky."
