Tenon, makers of MachTen, have reportedly ported Apache 1.2 to the MacOS
as a stand-alone application. It will cost about $495, or $295 as a
competitive upgrade from WebStar. Apache is probably the world's most
popular web server, able to handle 500 simultaneous connections--in some
cases even more--on a fast enough line. This could be a big boon for Mac
loyalists who want the power of a Mac as their server, but need more in
an server than WebStar can provide.
