On May 6 , I got laid off without warning from my job.
On May 31, I am getting evicted from the house where I've lived for 1 year.
Have not been able to find affordable housing although the search has been
underway several months.
There's more (as Rohit can attest :), but I won't bore you with it...
Suffice it to say I am scrambling like crazy to find a We-site job (writing,
editing, researching, etc.) immediately, since -- understandably -- landlords
prefer to rent to employed people, and the vacancy rate is under 1 percent in
SF these days.
