I've been on them myself. Ultimately, I decided I'd rather have
gargantuan mood swings and dizzy highs punctuated with horrific lows
than be in the general numbed state every antidepressant I ever took put
me in, though many people that know me might argue my going off of them
was a bad thing. ;-) Anyway, there was absolutely no personal slam
intended there --- and in a sense, again, I was mocking myself. (In
fact, I found Tom's rant strangely reminiscent of my style when I'm in
"over-the-top" mode, and the comment was more intended to be a friendly
poke in the ribs.)
