Dear Sirs,
I recently read your article on CNN.com about the launch of the
WebPC site. http://www.cnnfn.com/1999/11/30/companies/wires/dell_wg/

On my first visit, I received the following error message:

> Thanks for visiting webpc.com.
> You have arrived at this page because of one of the following reasons:
> You do not have Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher installed. Download the latest version of
> Internet Explorer
> You do not have Netscape Navigator 3.0 or higher installed. Download the latest
> version of Netscape Navigator
> You are using Internet Explorer on a Macintosh with JavaScript disabled. Under the
> Edit menu, select Preferences. In that
> Dialog box, click Web Contents. Check the box next to Enable Scripting, and click OK.
> If you believe you have received this message in error, please click here to return to
> the webpc.com home page.

I am running Netscape 4.7 with Javascript enabled, so all of your error
messages are incorrect. Further, I am running this configuration on a Dell
Inspiron 7000 under Windows 98 SE.

As I did reach this page in error, I procedded to "click here"
to return to the Webpc.com home page. Doing this resulted in the second
battery of incorrect messages:

> Every webpcTM comes with with the Flash plug-in from Macromedia
> pre-installed for dazzling multimedia experiences on the Web.
> If you are reading this, you must be using a browser that does not have the
> Flash plug-in installed. For an enhanced view of this Website you can
> download the plug-in for free OR continue viewing HTML only. The plug-in is
> only 161K. After download proceed to: Product Info
Going to Netscape's smart update page, I found that I actually DO have the latest
flash plug-in installed and, further, it works correctly on other Flash-enabled sites.

Proceeding to the HTML only site, I was then able to view your product information
including Javascript and Javascript behaviors.

Based on this experience, I would like to nominate your site to the TBTF
Exclusionary hall of fame. http://tbtf.com/exclusionary.html
