<< Immigration can be a wonderful thing, as Steve Forbes compellingly argues,

hey, something on which yangkum and gov. w and i can agree - i'm all for
immigration.

"Well I think we ought to look at our legal immigration laws. I 've said this
publicly. I think we ought to…for example, we ought to look at the laws that
keep families apart. The laws that keep a legal immigrant apart from his or
her family. I think we ought to look at that…and uniting families is
important." George W. Bush on ABC's "This Week With Sam Donaldson and Cokie
Roberts" (Sunday, July 16)

"Unfairly but truthfully, our party has been tagged as being against things.
Anti-immigrant, for example. And we're not a party of anti-immigrants. Quite
the opposite. We're a party that welcomes people."— George W. Bush,
Cleveland, July 1, 2000
