Well, I haven't quite actually,er, um, packed or anything,
but I do have my travel plans set for today..

14 Dec AI 3002 IAD-LHR-DEL (United #907 to London; #2 to Delhi)
16 Dec In New Delhi -- time to get a Maharaja Mac :-)
17 Dec IC 807 DEL-VNS (visiting the relatives)
20 Dec In Lucknow (the regional capital), via Indian Railways
24 Dec Back in New Delhi
24 Dec IC 469 DEL-NAG (cousin in Nagpur I've never met in 22 years)
27 Dec IC 770 NAG-CCU (new! Never been to Calcutta before..)
29 Dec IC 676 CCU-BOM (I've been to Bombay, but "Mumbai" is news)
30 Dec AI 314 BOM-DEL (Yes, back to New Delhi again...)
31 Dec AI 3001 DEL-LHR-IAD (United #1 to London; #921 to Dulles)

(hmm.. there seems to be a stray flight coupon for DEL-BOM 24 Dec; and
how did I manage to be on two flights in and out of CCU without hitting
IC408, from the remix on Anokha: Soundz of the Asian Underground? Doh!)

I'm getting VERY frustrated that NO ONE at United -- absolutely no one
short of the dulles ticket counter agents -- has ever heard of these
AI codeshare flights. Heck, even the dang PNR codes are for SABRE, not
United Apollo codes. And it's not even isolated: AI/UA do this out of
JFK, too; it's over a year old agreement. My dad's best guess is that
th Indian gov't may be 'pressuring; UA and other foreign flag carriers
to allocate extra seats to AI in exchange for landing rights. As it
is, United is giving up VERY substantial revenue to sell these as AI
instead of 'real' UA tickets.

That said, the REAL reason I'm sending this out to so many of you is to
offer each of you my best wishes for the holiday season!
