Day Two in a Five Day Series
TECH COAST LIVE - "Tuesday"
Well, San Diego certainly laid its claim to fame this morning as the city
with the "perfect climate". Indeed, today's event was accompanied by
spectacular weather and a very refreshing atmosphere as coverage took place
at the water's edge. Today's live broadcast was held from Coronado Island,
just across from bustling downtown San Diego. The heavy east coast
contingent from CNBC's national headquarters in New Jersey may have found
that San Diego's picturesque skyline rivaled New York's famous view from
across the Hudson! In any event, today's segment of the week-long roadshow
clearly established San Diego as one of the crucial and growing cornerstones
of this southernmost Tech Coast region. Once again, the diversity of the
Tech Coast was highlighted in today's extended coverage as CNBC Anchor Bill
Griffeth continued his live interviews with some of the region's top CEOs.
Following is a list of today's interviewees:
Irwin Jacobs, Chairman and CEO of Qualcomm, Inc.
Stuart Collinson, Chairman and CEO of Aurora Biosciences
Ely Callaway, Chairman and CEO of Callaway Golf Co.
Jeffrey Weizen, CEO of Gateway, Inc.
Garry Ridge, President and CEO of WD-40 Co.
Stephen Baum, Chairman and CEO of Sempra Energy
