And let's not EVEN talk about Gore's "economic plan," which, according to
the very leftist Citizens for Tax Justice, is a "spending programs run by
the IRS."

Al Gore said during the debate that 1) he's going to pay off the debt, and
2) he's NOT EVER going to put a cent of social security money into the
private markets. Frankly, 1 and 2 are contradictory. Why's that? Currently,
SS money can be only "invested" in treasury bonds--pay off the debt, and you
have no treasuries. What then? You'd have to buy either low or high yield
(i.e., junk bonds) commercial debt, securitized mortgages, or general
equities. Does Al Gore really understand what the hell he's saying?

And Clinton/Gore's economic track-record is spotty at best. During 1993 and
1994 when the Clinton/Gore economic plan was designed and legislated,
interest rates went up, the DJIA gained a mere 200 points. In the end of
this tenure, the political marketplace gave the Republicans control of
Congress for the first time in 40 years, and with it, venture capital grew
at an astonishing rate. The pinnacle of the Republican congressional
accomplishment included the Roth-IRA, the capital gains tax cut (i.e., TRA
97), reappointment of Greenspan, etc., allowing for capital formation and
hence the economic boom. All Clinton/Gore had to do was to sit back, but
no--According to Office of Management and Budget, under Clinton/Gore, from
1993 to 1999, in real terms, federal receipts rose 44%, while defense
outlays fell 14%. Meanwhile, social spending grew 16% and total federal
outlays increased 9%! If it wasn't for Newt and the Republicans, our
economic expansion would have been derailed a long time ago!

I find Gore lies a lot less dangerous than the lie of subverting an entire
educational system to get the numbers right for political gain. Gore's
misquotes, exaggerations and "whoppers" (what's two years into a program
that
started 25 years ago? I call that "inception." and the lullabye "lie" -
everyone now recognizes that as Gore-humor) are off the cuff. Bush's
education plan is a premeditated, long-running scam perpetrated on his own
state.

By the way, don't you wonder what's up with his brother Jeb's conspicuous
silence?
