Excite@Home executives know the fate of the company. As evidence, a Nov. 8
letter to certain key employees at the company offering them a new severance
package. The letter, which has been obtained by Dotcom Scoop, informs
certain personnel that they are eligible for four months of severance pay as
well as four months of medical coverage (paid in one lump sum) if the
employees stay with the company and are eventually terminated involuntarily.

"It is an effort to keep the company alive so it can be handed over to
AT&T," said one person who was offered the deal.

Hmm, given the overall character of the .bomb, does this conspiracy theory
really hold water?
