9 years ago I made my first (and so far only) trip to Japan. I spent one day
walking around Kyoto--literally afull day walking. During the afternoon I
found myself on the grounds of the imperial palace, much of which are open to
the public as parkland. Under photogenic trees was a couple, necking. Behind
them were a pair of boys, tossing a frisbee. I liked the picture. I took out
my trusty point-and-shoot photogrpahy-for-dummies camera pushed the button
that would actuate the risible zoom. The noise of the lens extending pricked
the ears of the woman in the spooning couple. She looked up at me. She
glared. She glared. She _glared_. I put the camera down.
She was right.
