And which as I've pointed out before *isn't* quite right. MD didn't "take" such
boni and options, rather he was *given* via such boni and options by his
shareholders, acting through the agency of the board. The shareholders clearly
generally thought his performance warranted this, as otherwise they could have
removed the board and put in place another one which would either compensate at a
lower level or remove the executive in question if compensation could not be
agreed upon.
You people have at least some inkling how corporations work, right?
