Bad answer.  What, exactly, was the all-important military target in
Dresden?

Sorry, I'm biased by only having Slaughterhouse 5 as my source.  I
also saw the touring exhibit of the Treasures of Dresden in SF back
in 1974 and saw no mention there other than a marginalized painting
of the fire-bombing.
