They don't have a 'price point', only a 'pain threshold' which is
hopefully less than 'there are none of them left to feel anything.

The 'US base' in Saudi is a Saudi base built with Saudi money to US
specifications so we could help defend the Saudis.
They don't want Palestinian sovereignty, they want the death of every
Jew in Israel.
Fair profits from oil? We already let them seize the oil fields we
found, developed, and made valuable through our technology.
Instead, why don't you and I resolve our differences 'peacefully'. You
can start by giving me everything you own plus your children and/or
wife. I promise to say thank you at least once.

Where did you invent this garbage? Germany had a good share of both.
What they wanted was to be able to cripple Great Britain with a
short-leg naval fleet so they could roll over France, or at least seize
some overseas colonies from the French and English.
Instead of talking about Germany at all you'd do better to address the
collapse of the Hapsburgs in Austria-Hungary, the restiveness of the
Serbs (some things never change) and the irrationality of the French
(ditto).
> As with training any animal, you find what is important to

Well, starving animals down to about 50% of their normal weight so they
will work for food is effective -- on animals.
Human beings are a lot different.
>"Evil when branded thinks of a weapon"
Evil always thinks of a weapon. When you realize it is Evil then
reaching for a weapon is often a survival skill.
> "we is better than them",
Which is objectively true.
> eventually you have to find a

Japan lost it, we did not.
Carthage lost it, the Romans did not.
Same for the Apache, Sioux, etc.
You don't need to find a solution which saves face under any number of
conditions:
1) They will only be satisfied with your death or slavery.
2) You plan on winning, and have the means to do so.
== Both apply here. ====
> War, if it does anything, cuts all lines of communications.
Sometimes, there is no longer a reason to communicate. That applies to
Jeffery Dahlmer, Hitler, Saddam, Lenin and bin Laden.
Stalin and Mao would be on the list except they were not as vulnerable.
They were also a touch more rational than the current problem groups.
==========
We gave Peace a chance.
We gave Business a chance.
Now lets give War a chance.
The US people rejoiced when we killed 80,000+ Japanese civilians in a
single firebomb attack on Tokyo.
We can learn to do it again, if we need to do so to win.
