I hate to break the bad news, but, neither Santa Fe nor Los Alamos are 
within 850 miles of the West Coast.  Perhaps, you meant west of the 
Mississippi River.

Nah, I think I'll keep it up.  It makes me feel good when someone smiles 
back, and it makes the other folks feel good that someone recognizes them 
as someone worthy to smile at.
