My fannish colleague Laurie Mann runs the Internet Dead People server at 
http://dpsinfo.org. Perhaps gossip/personality sites' page templates could 
make a call to the dpsinfo server or a local cache, and use that 
information to determine what sort of relics to flog: the latest album, or 
the hastily assembled collection of tribute covers. :)
