Did you consider my Zope blog product, BlogFace?  Disadvantage is that
it's less useful out of the box than Squishdot, advantage is that it
is a lot more flexible.  If you're into the Zope CMF, it should be
simple to put together a blog that supports user comments with it.  If
you're not, I'm not sure.
