HTTP must go

Don Box, former UCI ICS graduate student, Developmentor
founder, and SOAP author says HTTP is reaching the
end of it's shelf life.[1]  He says that a replacement
will eventually have to be found.  I love this:
"HTTP is the cockroach of the Internet because
after the holocaust, it will be the only protocol
left standing."  

What the world needs now is asynchronous HTTP, client
naming and routing, and long running transactions among
other things.[2]
