RFC 3253 - Versioning Extensions to WebDAV

Just want to toot my own horn for a second and let you know that RFC 3253,
Versioning Extensions to WebDAV, was released last Friday.


This is the DeltaV protocol specification, which describes how to add
versioning and configuration management capabilities to WebDAV. A server
supporting DeltaV would be a very functional SCM system, one that could
easily support small to medium scale software development projects. This
specification is the most sophisticated versioning and SCM standard ever
developed (other contenders, such as PCTE and DMA 1.0, addressed versioning,
but not CM).

It took appx. 3.5 years to develop this standard. At 118 pages (in IETF
formatting), that's approximately 1.5 weeks per *page*...
