Carey, Beberg *can't* be right, it's a definitional thing, I thought he
was the designated "wrong" guy. ;-)  Seriously, please note the title of
the article:  some *hope* amid the gloom.  That doesn't sound like
Beberg, now does it?  Otherwise, it would be "...some *doom* among the
gloom... alongside the bitterness and the anger amidst the despair,
tempered with a refreshing hint of uninformed cynicism..."
