the middle east is the relevant user here.  point being there's no rationale
for using cdma in the middle east.  you just bolstered that point.

"used in the Middle East"?  Duh -- and Europe, Australia, SE Asia,
in fact most of the rest of the world, as far as I know.

Plus there's the fact that the existing infrastructure (or what's left of
it) in Iraq would be running GSM.

Yeesh.  Are IDG really that clueless?
