My favorite reverse-role books are Joseph Heller's
Picture This where he writes the book from the
perspective of Rembrant's painting. 

Also equally as enjoyable is Grendel--one of my all
time favorites.   John Garnder rewrites Beowolf from
the standpoint of the monster.
