our ocean temp is much cooler than normal for august. atmospherically,
we've rarely broken ninety all summer.

i wonder what the north atlantic oscillation portends for the european
winter: will it be an exceptionally white one?

Just to be a *complete* jerk, I'd like to mention
again that the weather where I live is just
wonderful. It's been getting up to the mid 70s
(24C) but at night it cools down to the mid
50s (14C). So we just open some windows and
the house cools down very nicely. It goes without
saying that no one here has air conditioning,
as there's simply never a need for it.
