For some reason, it always falls on me

Yep. It amazes me that anyone who works
in, intimately uses, or simply favors
science and technology could vote for
the current administration. This IS a
matter of life and death. Some of us
will die of diseases not cured because
of bad research decisions today.
Here is an interesting link, on how this
administration distorts science:
Notice how many of the administration's
distortions of science involve moral
issues: abstinence-only education,
condoms, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health,
stem cells, substance abuse. Admittedly,
the majority that remain seem to be a
simple matter of twisting science to
help the administration's supporters,
e.g., oil issues and food safety.
