Hmm, I would classify the iPod as being more like removable
media than fixed media.
After all, it carries the data away from the more stationary
silos (desktop hard drives, servers accessed vis wired net access)
in which it would otherwise reside.
Seems to me iPod is more an example of CPU more closely
adhering itself to (re)movable storage, rather than data
moving from removable to fixed devices.
